Our house is almost empty. Today I packed up most of the things in the kitchen cabinets and pantry. The counters are bare. All the closets are empty except ours. They have very little clothes and shoes in them. There is nothing on the walls except a clock in the living room. I'll take it down the day before the movers come (Wednesday). All this makes me happy because it means that moving time is getting closer and closer. My husband says that he is not excited yet about retiring and moving. He'll probably be happy when we are living by our kids and granddaughters, when he doesn't have to set his alarm and get up and around, when he can golf any day he wants (not just on the weekend), when he doesn't have to climb the stairs to go to bed, and when other events come his way that he can participate in because he is retired. The possibilities are endless! He may not be excited, but I know he'll be happy.

It probably doen't see real to him yet. After working for umpteen years
he''ll ahve to get use to being retired.
Tell him congratulations on his retirement. It certainly is a milestone.
