My daughter and son-in-law are in Austin for the first UT football game. Friday evening, my husband and I took the granddaughters to the Central Texas State Fair to go on the rides. We were fortunate because on Friday evening active duty and retired service members and their families got into the fairgrounds free. The granddaughters were free because of their ages. So my husband serving in the Army for over 26 years has its benefits sometimes. We got smart this year and bought our granddaughters bracelets so they could go on all the rides all they wanted. Each bracelet cost $15, which is a good deal because, for instance, normally to ride just the ferris wheel once cost $4. They really enjoyed it. Oldest liked the slide the best. Below is are three photos showing what a great time they had.

Update: Check out all the entries for this week's Karnival of Kidz over at And What Next.
aww..such precious girls..reminds me of me and my older sister..except at
that age we were squabbling all the time..Heheh.
What little cuties. Noah loves those slides. I bet he came done that thing,
at least, a 100 times, at our fair.
Aren't grandkids fun? I don't know what I would do without Noah.
Yipeeeee! I love riding those rides.
