Meme Taggaroni!

posted Wednesday, 15 June 2005

I've been tagged by Prochein Amy!  Below are five things that I miss about my childhood.

1.  As a teenager, sitting in the grass in the backyard on Saturday afternoon talking to my friends.  This includes not having to clean house, cook, pay bills, and all that grown-up stuff.  My childhood was a carefree time, especially the time a spent outside playing when I was younger or talking to friends when I was older.

2.  Roller skating on our street in England.  The street was sloped, so I would be going really fast by the time I got to the bottom of the street.

3.  Being excited about Christmas morning.  (I had that feeling when my children were little, and I have that feeling again now that I have grandchildren.)

4.  Having the time to read and read and read.

5.  Drinking Delaware Punch and Coke (with slivers of ice) from a bottle and eating Dreamsicles and my mother's good cooking.  And drinking and eating all I wanted because I was so skinny.

Your turn!

Remove the first blog from the following list, bump everyone up one place, and add your blog’s name in the bottom of the list. Then add links to their blogs in order the multiply the meme.

Now tag four other bloggers with their links. (Except I only picked three because I'm new at this and don't visit that many blogs.  How long can I use this excuse?!)

Tag, you're it!

One Happy Dog Speaks  (I tagged her because she makes me happy with her terrible jokes, and because I like the names Tater and Tot.)
April Fool  (Because she's nobody's fool, and because she went to high school with my daughter.)
Uptown Girl (Because I like her photos, and because I like George.)

Whew!
