CALL ME GRANDMA is looking forward to stories about our big move. At the moment, I have only one story. It is about what I have been doing the last couple of weeks or so. I've been packing our precious possessions (my husband calls it junk!) in boxes. As I pack up a box, I give it a number. I write the number down in a steno book, along with the contents of the box. Then with a magic marker, I write the number on the side of the box, along with the room it goes in at our new house. I hope this will help things go more smoothly when the move actually gets here. I started with the two spare bedrooms. I'm now in the study. I've also started separating things in the kitchen--some to take to the new house and some to leave here for awhile. Below is a photo that shows you what I've been doing.

Sounds like you got everything under control. Being organized is the key.
The main objective is after you unpack, will you know where everything is
in your new home. I still can't find things in my new kitchen. I keep
coming across things as time goes by.
