She asked if I wanted to join them at the nail place in about an hour.&nbsp; I said, &quot;Sure!&quot;</font></p><p><font size="3">So there we were--my daughter and me getting pedicures, my two granddaughters getting their fingernails and toenails painted, and then me getting a manicure and my daughter getting her nails redone.&nbsp; We all had tiny flowers painted on our big toes, and the granddaughters had a flower on their ring fingers.&nbsp; Yeah, they were the lucky ones.&nbsp; In the middle of each flower was a &quot;diamond!&quot;</font></p><p><font size="3">Here is a photo of my toenails.&nbsp; The three of us just finished doing girly things.&nbsp; They soaked their feet in water with a fuzzy tablet, put a rosemary mint mask on their feet, and finished it up with a foot balm.&nbsp; Before that we washed our faces, put on a deep cleanser and moisturizer and a bit a make up.&nbsp; (It wasn&#39;t&nbsp;too much, Mom!)&nbsp; Then they put a deep cleanser and moisturizer on their hands.&nbsp;&nbsp;They also put&nbsp;perfume on their &quot;pulse points.&quot;</font></p><p><font size="3">So much for girly things.&nbsp; Now they are outside getting the last of the water out of the swimming pool.&nbsp; (We put up a pool, but it wasn&#39;t level enough.&nbsp; So now we are starting over and need to get all the water out first.)&nbsp; The trip takes about 8 hours, especially when we stop for lunch and&nbsp;gas and all the other necessary things.&nbsp;&nbsp;One of the funniest parts of the traveling was when we were just inside the Arkansas state line, my&nbsp;husband pointed to all the vehicles going in the opposite direction and said something like this our granddaughters, &quot;Look at all the people leaving Arkansas because you are coming into the state.&quot;</font></p><p><font size="3">Below is the reply from one of our granddaughters.&nbsp; Today I&#39;m starting to feel normal again.&nbsp; The only good thing about being sick was the fact that I lost about five pounds!&nbsp; The bad thing about being sick was the fact that we had planned on picking up our granddaughters after school on Friday.&nbsp; We decided not to because I didn&#39;t want to give them my cold to them.&nbsp; </font></p><p><font size="3">I heard on TV that when a person goes to work with a cold, ten people get sick.&nbsp; That seems like a lot, but I&#39;m not surprised that others can get your cold.&nbsp; On the way, here is what&nbsp;my younger granddaughter asked me (more or less):&nbsp; &quot;Grandma, since you don&#39;t work anymore, would you come have lunch with me at school sometime?&quot;&nbsp; How could I refuse?!?!</font></p><p><font size="3">So today I surprised her by taking a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and meeting her outside her classroom door.&nbsp; When she saw me, she immediately came over to me, grabbed my hand, and stood very close to me.&nbsp; I leaned down and hugged her real hard.&nbsp; She held on to my hand all the way to the lunch room.&nbsp; I went with her when she got her lunch (chicken rings, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, and ice water).&nbsp; I sat with her at a kind of low table.&nbsp; I also enjoyed talking to the other first graders around us.&nbsp; Then we went for ice cream.&nbsp; We both got chocolate drumsticks.&nbsp; &nbsp;My other granddaughter saw me, and came over and we hugged.&nbsp; (Don&#39;t worry.&nbsp; I&#39;ll have lunch with her one day soon.)&nbsp; When I left, we all said good bye to each other.&nbsp; There was an older boy nearby.&nbsp; He said, &quot;Good bye, Grandma&quot;
