The First Photo of Our New House

My husband and I had a very nice weekend.  We drove to Fort Worth on Saturday morning.  We then ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant.  Then the four "women" went to Hobby Lobby and spent too much!

Sunday we went to church and on to our daughter's anti-in-laws.  I always love to go there--her mother-in-law is a fabulous cook.  She made 40-garlic-clove chicken.  She used more than 40 cloves, so it was really good.  She makes delicious chocolate and pumpkin pie too.  Anyway, I'm getting off the subject.

This morning we met with the builder.  We were supposed to meet with him two weeks ago, but he couldn't get there because of the bad weather.  The building permit should be approved this week or early next week.  They'll start working the ground or whatever it is called in about two and half to three weeks.  Woo hoo!

Below is not really a photo of the house.  It is the lot where the house will be built.  The lot starts at the red pole and goes to the right.  Click on the photo for a better view.  I'm so excited, and not just to get a new house.  We'll be living near our kids and grandkids.  I feel so blessed!
